CMA Spotlight: Jessica Campbell

Jessica Campbell is a multidisciplinary artist who has made a career musing about creation. The Columbus Museum of Art is proud to host this cartoonist whose practice highlights the multi faceted approaches to creativity and engagement. Her work grounds the often romanticized nature of art making in humor, framed by the banality of life. From the gallery walls, to print media, to digital publishing, Jessica Campbell’s body of work tells a story about being an artist (A Portrait of an Artist at Her Day Job, Hyperallergic), about art history(Hot or Not: 20th Century Male Artists), about art making, but most of all stories about life (Rave.) Jessica Campbell’s most recent work with the MoMA Still Alive is a culmination of this long journey. Jessica will be interviewed by comics scholar and writer Dr. Rachel Miller.
