We at Cartoon Crossroads Columbus are excited about the upcoming festival running October 6th – 9th. Our return to a fully in-person and accessible event to celebrate comics and the people who make them would not be possible without your support. Because of donors like you, the entire festival continues to be FREE.
"The term “CXC” in the Caribbean is actually the 'Caribbean Examination Council' and the biggest exam that happens on the islands,” says Robyn Smith, “So each sketch has the students engaged like the exam but it's comics instead.”
“Every fall, the comics and cartoon art community in Columbus comes together for CXC, and once again we celebrate this beautiful, complex art form and the masters who make it,” said Jeff Smith, CXC’s co-founder and artistic director, and author of the Bone and Tuki graphic novels. “We have an incredible guest list from around the world, and we have events and activities planned for anyone who likes cartoons—which is everyone!”
Free Comic Book Day is this Saturday! Support local comics shops like: The Laughing Ogre World’s Greatest Comics Comic Town Heroes and Games Kafe Kerouac Big Fun Columbus Krazzy Comics…
We invite all of you to Seventh Son Brewing Co. to be the first to hear about CXC’s in-person festival in the fall. Gather with old friends and meet new ones over a beer or two. We’ll be announcing the CXC 2022 special guests, unveiling the new poster by artist Robyn Smith, 2021’s Emerging Talent Award winner and signing up volunteers for the festival.
